“If we seek solitary retreat, you will be more often refreshed.” ― Lailah Gifty Akita

Yesterday, I attended a retreat for a few hours and I feel so much more refreshed. Yes, I have a lengthy to do list, but the quick getaway reminded me of the reason I place value on spending time with a community of people who also want to hit the reset button. I spent time with a few dear friends and connected with women I did not previously know. We listened deeply and shared meaningful stories. This experience heightened my commitment to the work that I do. If you have not had an opportunity to review the directory, please take a moment to read about the different types of retreats that are available. They address the breadth of the human experience and we have only scratched the surface. I’m excited to introduce you to even more retreats that will surprise you.

Books and Music for Everyday Self Care

Each week I have the thrill of introducing books to you. I decided to open a digital store front to curate books that have added value to my life on the Bookshop platform. Bookshop provides a percentage of sales to independent and local book stores. Also, for the purpose of full disclosure, if you purchase a book through The Spa in Me Book Store, I may receive an affiliate commission. Honestly, I believe you will enjoy the books I have listed. Save our book store to your list of favorite sites, because I plan to add more each week.
